  • Our Story

Secret Gardens started in the year 2020 during one of the most recent epidemics the world was facing. Dlamini Sisekelo and co-founder Mlondi Malinga saw the high demand for healthy organic foods to reinforce their immune system in such sickly times. The whole business started as a family supply to healthy organic vegetables but due to everyone being affected by this need, the garden needed extension and an idea to fuse land soil farming and hydroponics will satisfy the demand and it actually did. The high availability of very nutritious organic vegetables drove the questions of “what is those boys secret?" then the brand name of Secret Gardens was born with its secrets.

The biggest challenge was adding hydroponics in our farming since our expertise had not fully had a vivid idea of the organic techniques used it this kind of farming thus encouraged us to do some capacity building through learning online and doing some trial and error. Through this trial and error, and with a lot of hard work, our efforts began to bear fruit—literally. The first harvest was a small but significant victory, showcasing vibrant, delicious vegetables that were a testament to our commitment to organic farming.

The Future for Secret Gardens seems to be bright as more people are becoming woke of the chemicalised foods that they are buying and sometimes the taste is even distinguishable and for that reason driving a whole number of people in our direction. The satisfied demand of our local market will encourage growth to expand distribution around neighbouring markets and then the world.
