Our mission is to empower women with sustainable livelihoods, while also championing environmental. consciousness by reducing textile waste. With sewing machines provided through a development initiative, we have harnessed both skill and creativity to build a vibrant enterprise rooted in community, resilience, and innovation.

Our Story
Vukani boMake was born out of necessity, hope, and the power of collective action. In Ezulwini, a group of determined women came together through a local initiative that provided sewing machines and training. What began as a simple opportunity to learn a skill quickly grew into a movement of creativity and empowerment.
Among the women, one visionary stood out: she began experimenting with discarded clothing, repurposing the fabric into stylish and practical products. Soon, the group realized that they were not just stitching fabric — they were stitching together livelihoods, confidence, and community.
With each cushion, apron, or scrunchie created, the women of Vukani boMake breathe new life into forgotten materials. Their craft is more than business; it is a story of resilience, sustainability, and solidarity.
