Our Story
The roots of Nabakitsi Investment trace back to a moment of curiosity, determination, and cultural pride.
While pursuing a degree in Information Technology in Libya, I found myself working par-time at an olive oil factory. It was there, amidst the hum of machinery and the scent of fresh olives, that I was introduced to the cold press extraction method, a technique that preserves the purity and nutritional value of natural oils. This hands-on experience planted a seed in my mind: What if I could bring this knowledge home?
Back in Eswatini, I saw a land rich with untapped potential. Our soil nurtures avocados, castor seeds, and sour plums, plants brimming with oil and nutrients ideal for organic cosmetics. I dreamed of building a factory that would not only produce high quality oils but also empower local farmers and tree owners by turning their harvests into sustainable income.
My first attempt at extracting avocado oil was a humble experiment. But when I showed the result to a close friend, his reaction was unforgettable. In our language, he exclaimed “Yenabakitsi!” a spontaneous expression of awe and surprise, like saying “Wow!” That moment captured the spirit of what I was trying to build: something unexpected, pure, and proudly local.
And so, Nabakitsi Investment was born not just as a company, but as a vision. A vision to create organic beauty products rooted in tradition, innovation, and community. Today, we operate a micro avocado processing plant, using cold press techniques to ensure the highest quality.
