Company Profile
Amarasti produces a vast range of hand beaded and embroidered handbags, purses, cushion covers and other home ware items.
We focus on providing employment opportunities for the rural and peri-urban women of Eswatini. Many of the women working for Amarasti are grand-mothers who, with the Aids crisis, are responsible for providing and assisting in the raising and education of their orphaned grandchildren. This empowerment project employs over 30 rural women helping them to provide for their extended families and children. The casual wages they earn, contributes to the uplifting of their families and puts much needed food on the table.
Our unique designs, were the work of our founder who prepared each unique design carefully, excitedly and with joy. All our designs are her original works. The Swazi tribe is renown for their mastery in embroidery and beading. Using bright primary colours that reflect their happy personalities and joyful spirit.
Based in the Malkerns Valley, at the Swazi Candle Complex, our shop proves very popular with tourists travelling through the country. Our export department takes our product to the world who do not travel.
Established in 2008, Amarasti has a worldwide footprint that has brought back many of our customers through the years. With top class workmanship, colour and design, we pride ourselves in our product.
