  • Our Story

Kuhle Arts and Crafts was founded by Mduduzi Mnisi, a passionate artist born in the northern part of Eswatini, in Nkaba near Malolotja. Growing up, Mduduzi was deeply inspired by his father, a skilled sculptor who worked with soapstone. From a young age, he spent countless hours assisting his father, crafting and selling soapstone sculptures along the roadside.

These early experiences shaped Mduduzi's love for art and craftsmanship. Determined to refine his skills and pursue his passion further, he later moved to Malkerns, a well-known hub for arts and creativity in Eswatini. There, he continued developing his sculpting expertise and eventually secured employment at Swazi Candles, where he still works today, gaining valuable experience in the craft industry.

Driven by a vision greater than personal success, Mduduzi established Kuhle Arts and Crafts as a platform to showcase his unique creations and to uplift others through art. He is proud to be part of Buka, where he has the opportunity to present his work to a wider audience.

Mduduzi's dream goes beyond creating beautiful pieces—he is committed to empowering the younger generation by teaching them sculpting skills and helping disadvantaged individuals find purpose and income through handcraft. Through Kuhle Arts and Crafts, he aims to fight unemployment and inspire hope, one handcrafted piece at a time.
